313 Metal is an independent media outlet focused on documenting heavy and alternative music in the city of Detroit and its surrounding areas. This is done mainly through photography and video.
The main goal of 313 Metal is to create a lasting archive of the local scene and everything that goes along with it.
About GLS Visuals
My name is Gavin Shoobridge and I operate GLS Visuals and 313 Metal.
In 2024 I began photographing local Hardcore shows. Since then, I have documented hundreds of bands across multiple venues in the state of Michigan.
My goal is to provide authentic documentation of the shows I attended and have fun while I’m doing it. I want this website to serve as a time capsule of what the scene was like while I was active in it (hopefully that’s a long time).
